SKI: The Granatalm is located directly next to the mountain stations of the Finkenberger Almbahn, Nordhangbahn, and Katzenmosbahn. Additionally, via the Penkenbahn, Rastkogelbahn, and Horbergbahn.
ON FOOT: Coming from Mayrhofen, the hiking time is approximately 1.5 hours. If you use the Kombibahn Penken as an additional ascent aid, the hiking time is about 30 minutes. For those with good physical fitness, there are numerous hiking trails from Mayrhofen, Finkenberg, and Lanersbach. You should plan for walking times from 2.5 to 4 hours.
BIKE: Bike transport is possible with both the Penkenbahn and the Finkenberger Almbahn.
We are open during the operating hours of the Finkenberger Almbahn.

Pepi's Kinderland - a large adventure playground - is located directly in front of the sun terrace and there is also a large indoor playroom in the Granatalm for rainy day activities.
We have an extensive menu mainly featuring regional specialties from the Zillertal. On our wine list, you will predominantly find Austrian wines and selected top Italian wines.
The Granatalm is located on the sunny plateau of Penkenjoch in the middle of the large skiing area Schwendau - Mayrhofen - Finkenberg - Tux. It is situated at 2095 meters above sea level and is the ideal starting point for any hiking and ski tours at Penken.
In winter, we serve you in our rooms and a cordoned-off part of the terrace. In summer, we serve all our guests.
Our restaurant is accessible on the ground level and equipped with automatic sliding doors. A spacious lift leads to the toilets in the basement. Furthermore, wheelchair access from the valley station of the Finkenberger Almbahn should be possible from winter 2017 onwards.
A mountain breakfast costs 19 € per person. Let yourself be surprised!
We are always happy to see your pet. However, lions must stay outside.
There is free Wi-Fi throughout the restaurant. The password for this is "granat2000".
We always welcome reservations and are happy to accept them by phone at +43 5285 630 33.
Our menu is also particularly well equipped for our little guests. We only have special menus as part of the visit to the Sunny Ski and Snowboard School.
Since we prepare the meals in our kitchen fresh, we are happy to accommodate special requests, as long as they are within the realm of possibility. Please simply ask one of our staff about this.
Payments with all common debit and credit cards are possible from 20,- €.
Yes, of course! The premises of the Granatalm are well prepared for both small and large celebrations. Delicious catering, live music, breathtaking views of the Zillertal mountains, perfect photo locations, and much more await you on the sunny plateau of Penkenjoch!
