Harakiri: Austria's steepest slope
On the first turns, most winter sports enthusiasts start brave and let their skis run. But soon they become more cautious, tentatively edging their way closer and closer to the legendary slope No. 34 with each swing. After all, it's not an ordinary downhill run.
It's the Harakiri - and it deserves respect, because with a gradient of up to 78 percent, it's only for absolute professionals. For most, it's the highlight of the day, if not the entire winter vacation.
Ready for the Harakiri? Doubting whether you can handle the Harakiri? Then try your hand at the not quite so extreme slope No. 12, the Devilβs Run. Its steep slope at the end is also considered the "Harakiri test" among locals. If you make it down here safely, you're ready for Austria's steepest slope experience!
Harakiri hardfacts
